Bible college : day 1

Today is day one of bible college... Amy and I have been up since before 7am and it's about 11:15pm... We had a great day, but it was really long. We really enjoyed our two lessons. 1) Christian ethics and 2) Russian culture. Our brains are mush after that high level of philosophical/ theological conversation. In the first hour I had written down more than 37 new words.

A funny story from today is the word светский. It means secular. But it sounds a lot like шведский - Swedish... So we're talking about ethics and Amy and I have no idea why we keep talking about Swedes... Ah... Secular!

Once again, return of the forgetful blogger

The technology in my world is almost all working once again. As Amy and I were in America Fall 2010, everything went wonky when my to do reminders all started going off 10 hours too early... that's right, technology is so smart that my phone would go off in America according to the time in Tyumen.

As I worked to solve the problem, I understood that it would entail restructuring more than 100 alarms... it was easier to just turn them all off.

The problem, of course, is that I don't really have a good memory. And I'm not really very organized either. I just use technology to pull a smoke and mirrors trick on everyone.

So without my crutch, I've become the world's WORST blogger.
