Got a call yesterday evening that some workmen are in Jim & Sally’s building doing a capitol renovation (it’s been going on for about 3 months) and that they’d need access to Jim & Sally’s apartment again to redo pipes.
This happened back in March as well, but it meant taking apart Jim & Sally’s entire kitchen, so I convinced the workers that it would be okay to wait for Jim & Sally to return to do this.
Now it’s time for the bathroom. No big deal right?
So after an hour of working in the bathroom by myself to try and expose one of the pipes, the workmen came (4 of them), they helped me to get the pipes exposed and were about ready to start working when… batz (Russian word)
… the power went out.
So we’re in the apartment, no power, 4 guys ready to change pipes sitting in the dark. (my laptop still has power at least).
update – the power is on… the toilet is sitting in the hallway. What a weird sight.
